intermediateStanding, from the holster, unsupportedSix rounds from the holster into the A-zone as fast as you can shoot accurately. The definitive test of trigger reset and recoil management.
On the start beep, draw and fire six rounds into the A-zone before the par beep. All six must score A-zone (or within your equivalent standard). If rounds stray outside, you're outrunning your skill — slow down.
USPSA/IPSC target at 7 yards. Start with hands relaxed at sides. Six rounds loaded. Use the par cue — the start beep fires after a random delay, the par beep is your standard.
Pass: all 6 hits inside A-zone, completed before the par beep. Fail: any round outside the A-zone, or not finished before the par beep. ⚠️ Set the par to your level rather than treating the default as the standard: around 4 seconds is a fair start if you are new to working from a holster, 3 seconds is a solid working goal, and the classic benchmark — six A-zone hits from the holster in under 2 seconds, roughly a one-second draw and .2 splits — is genuinely exceptional shooting. Use the random-start par cue; the app does not measure your time, so the standard is binary against whatever par you set.
